Dog experts believe that training and interaction with a dog are needed in order to strengthen the relations between a dog and his owner. Obedience training is one of the most important kinds of training. It helps to establish the owner as a leader. Dog specialists have proven that an owner should have a proper understanding about canine behavior in order to understand his dog's body language correctly. Here's what experts say about dogs' behavior:

Digging is the most common behavior for all dogs. Usually dogs dig in order to hide their favourite possessions such as toys, tugs and balls. Another reason for digging may be the need to indulge in some sort of activity. This means that your dog needs your attention and should not be left alone for an extended period of time. Dog specialists also point out that dogs may sometimes suffer from so-called separation anxiety. This is why frequent barking, chewing and digging may occur. The reason for this may be a lack of an owner's attention.

Jumping is more common for puppies, but it concerns dogs as well. Dogs jump when they want to show their excitement. Sometimes it may be troublesome, but it is necessary to remember that occasionally dogs jump because they want your attention. Some dog specialists state that jumping may be a way of asserting dominance.
